From November 10 to 22, 2025, the United Nations Climate Change Conference (COP30) was held in Belém, Brazil. After a two-year hiatus, CentraleSupélec was once again represented at this major international event by a delegation of three students who were already in Brazil as part of a dual-degree program in Rio de Janeiro.
The CentraleSupélec Foundation wanted to contribute to this initiative by helping cover the costs of the trip to Belém, specifically by funding the students’ transportation and lodging.
This support is fully in line with the Foundation’s mission: to support CentraleSupélec’s CSR initiatives and help educate students on the challenges of sustainable development, in accordance with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
With observer status, this participation in COP30 was a profound personal and academic experience, marked by numerous learning opportunities and a unique immersion in the heart of international climate negotiations. The CentraleSupélec Foundation is delighted to have helped make this adventure possible and hopes it will encourage future student delegations to get involved in upcoming international events.
