YOUR TAX DEDUCTIONS

"The UK Friends of CentraleSupelec" is the structure which collects funds on behalf of Fondation CentraleSupélec and ensures that you are entitled to the tax deductions under British law as well as the « Gift Aid » initiative.
  • « Gift aid » entitles the Fondation CentraleSupélec to a 25% bonus on top of the value of your donation, at no extra cost to you
  • If you pay income tax above the 20% basic rate, you can claim back on the total amount of the donation (gift aid included) the difference between the rate you‘ve paid and the basic rate.
  For a donation of £1000:
  • The Fondation CentraleSupélec receives £1250 at no extra cost to the donor
  • A donor who pays tax at 45%, can thus request a tax deduction of £312,5 (£1250 X 25%), meaning that the total cost of the donation is equivalent to £687,5

When you give £100:
  • £ 90 is allocated to the Foundation's missions
  • £ 10 is charged for operating and fundraising costs
