On October 16, the Fondation CentraleSupélec and Friends of CS, Inc. had the immense pleasure of organizing the CentraleSupélec gala dinner at the Museum of the City of New York, an exceptional event at the heart of the “Demain est IngénieurS” fundraising campaign, which aims to make CentraleSupélec a world-class school of engineering.

The evening kicked off with a private tour of the museum, followed by a cocktail reception where alumni from the American community were invited to meet up and make new acquaintances. The dinner then brought together nearly 80 participants, in an elegant, convivial and inspiring atmosphere punctuated by testimonials, remarkable speeches, masterful musical interludes and a few magic tricks!

We would like to thank our guests of honor: Romain Soubeyran, CentraleSupélec’s Managing Director, Olivier Goudet (87), a major patron of the Foundation, Bernard Gault (81), Chairman of the Foundation, Flavien Kulawik (94), Chairman of the Campaign Committee and Rayan Ait Ekioui, CentraleSupélec student and ambassador of the Foundation. Their speeches were a powerful reminder of the importance of collective support for the school’s reputation.

Thanks to the exemplary mobilization of the CentraleSupélec US community, more than a million dollars in pledges were raised for the Foundation. Once again, this success testifies to the strength of the bond between alumni and their school, and their unwavering commitment to furthering its ambition.

Why raise a million dollars in one evening?

Because education is the mother of all causes. We have a great need for engineers of the highest scientific and transdisciplinary level, capable of meeting the challenges facing our planet.

Because it’s our duty to give back to our school when we’ve received such a high level of training for such a modest price by international standards.

Because CentraleSupélec is pursuing a winning strategy and becoming a world-class School of Engineering, promoting the unique expertise of a leading French engineering school throughout the world.

Many thanks to all our alumni for their invaluable support of the CentraleSupélec Foundation and the Demain Est Ingenieurs campaign!
