At the Marcel Boiteux Lecture, Deloitte<\/a>, EDF<\/a>, RTE R\u00e9seau de Transport d’Electricit\u00e9<\/a>, Stellantis<\/a>, and CentraleSup\u00e9lec<\/a> officially launched this chair<\/a>, which is supported by the School\u2019s Industrial Engineering Laboratory (LGI).<\/p>\n

Marcel Boiteux\u2019s pioneering work laid the foundations for the economics of electricity and the carbon tax. Today, these same issues are being reexamined in a radically transformed context: liberalized markets, the imperative to decarbonize, large-scale electrification, and the increasing complexity of energy markets. <\/p>\n

The CEMSI Chair addresses six key challenges:
\nImpacts of the electrification of end uses
\nPathways to deep industrial decarbonization
\nDecentralization of energy decision-making
\nModeling flexibility requirements related to renewable energy
\nRisks and opportunities of electric mobility
\nIntegration of new demands: hydrogen and data centers<\/p>\n

Under the direction ofOlivier Massol<\/a> and Yannick Perez<\/a>, professors at the LGI, the chair employs advanced analytical approaches to design the energy systems of the future: stochastic optimization, cooperative game theory, multi-market analysis, and more…<\/p>\n
