To this end, the School deploys a comprehensive teaching and research program to equip its students with the appropriate knowledge, tools, questioning skills and initiatives.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.centralesupelec.fr\/fr\">CentraleSup\u00e9lec<\/a>&#8216;s objective is to develop innovative scientific projects around Sustainable Development by involving teachers, students, researchers and staff.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h3>CentraleSup\u00e9lec acts for sustainable development<\/h3>\n<p>The mapping established by the school has shown that are already present in the curriculum:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Approximately <strong>30 hours of training<\/strong> for all on sustainable development issues<\/li>\n<li><strong>Practical Engineer&#8217;s Workshop<\/strong> and the Fresque du Climat<\/li>\n<li><strong>Lectures<\/strong> by <a href=\"https:\/\/fr.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Val%C3%A9rie_Masson-Delmotte\">Val\u00e9rie Masson-Delmotte<\/a> (IPCC)<\/li>\n<li><strong>Dedicated sessions<\/strong> of common Management and Economics courses, etc.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>In addition, there are already :<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>7 sustainable development-oriented <strong>projects<\/strong><\/li>\n<li>45% of the <strong>thematic sequences<\/strong> in the new engineering curriculum address these issues.<\/li>\n<li>30% of students can devote more than half of the volume of their curriculum to courses related to Sustainable Development since the start of the 2019 academic year.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>To coordinate and develop all these initiatives, <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.linkedin.com\/in\/pascal-da-costa-20ab3420\/?originalSubdomain=fr\">Pascal Da Costa<\/a><\/strong>, a teacher-researcher at the school and co-director of the Business Science Department, has been appointed as the Sustainable Development Coordinator at CentraleSup\u00e9lec.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h3>A collective commitment<\/h3>\n<p>To meet this growing demand for resources to be deployed to <strong>achieve the ecological transition<\/strong>, everyone is invited to act at his or her own level, in his or her sector of activity. At the <strong>CentraleSup\u00e9lec Foundation<\/strong>, thanks to our donors, we have created a <strong>special fund<\/strong> to finance the School&#8217;s Sustainable Development projects.<\/p>\n<p>This fund is already used to finance some of the initiatives undertaken in the new engineering curriculum, <strong>research laboratories<\/strong> and eco-responsible projects on campus: training at <a href=\"https:\/\/fresqueduclimat.org\/\">La fresque du climat<\/a>, support for Tech for Good student projects, conferences, the responsible engineer forum, etc.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>To support the ecological transition at CentraleSup\u00e9lec, the Foundation invites you to make a donation.<\/strong><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>CentraleSup\u00e9lec&#8217;s mission is to train engineers capable of understanding the challenges of the 21st century, one of which is sustainable development.
