The financial barrier is invisible, yet it is the one that prevents us the most from realizing our dreams

I come from Lebanon, where I studied electrical engineering.

Passionate about new technologies and renewable energies, I quickly formed the project to work in this field. I chose CentraleSupélec for the quality of its engineering curriculum, and I was admitted in a double degree!

I discovered a school that provides its students with the best mentors, but that also seeks to help all people in difficulty, including people in need of support.

It was precious for me, because it was difficult for me to leave my family in Lebanon and to be alone.

And then, in 2020, following the explosion in Beirut and the economic crisis that plunged the country into a catastrophic state, I found myself without almost any financial means.

The foundation's grant allowed me to pay part of my tuition and part of my student housing costs.

"I am very grateful because it is thanks to this help that I was able to continue my journey."

Being on scholarship has never been a source of shame for me.

I think having a scholarship helps financially challenged students to continue building their career plans and dreams.

''The financial barrier is invisible, yet it is the one that prevents us the most from realizing our dreams''

I would like to thank the Foundation and the donors.

This experience has taught me that financial means should not block anyone from continuing their studies and developing their professional project. Your help helped me a lot to continue my journey and to reach my goals.

I finished my studies in 2021 and I am currently working as a Project Manager Engineer for electrical energy and green hydrogen. I hope to create my own company in a few years after having acquired more skills.

"Of course I will not hesitate to come to the aid of other students in difficulty"
